Terms and Conditions
1. Rental Agreement
All equipment rentals from Tree Haven Rentals (a division of High Efficiency Builders, LLC) require a signed rental agreement before equipment is released. By signing the rental agreement and accepting equipment, you agree to all terms and conditions outlined therein and on this page.
2. Eligibility
Renters must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license or government-issued ID. For tractor rentals, renters must demonstrate basic operating competence.
3. Security Deposit
A security deposit is required for all rentals. The deposit amount is specified in your rental agreement. Deposits are refundable upon return of equipment in the same condition as when rented, less normal wear and tear.
4. Rental Period and Rates
Rental rates are based on the period specified in your agreement (daily, weekly, or monthly). For tractor rentals, 10 engine hours equals one rental day. Late returns may incur additional charges at the daily rate. Electric bike rentals have a maximum rental period of 3 days.
5. Equipment Condition and Inspection
All equipment is inspected before and after each rental. The renter is responsible for inspecting equipment at pickup and noting any pre-existing conditions. Any damage not documented at pickup will be assumed to have occurred during the rental period.
6. Renter Responsibilities
- Operate equipment safely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Return equipment clean, fueled, and in the same condition as received
- Report any mechanical issues immediately – do not attempt repairs
- Do not allow unauthorized persons to operate rental equipment
- Use equipment only for its intended purpose
7. Liability and Damage
The renter assumes full responsibility for the rental equipment during the rental period. The renter is liable for any damage, loss, or theft that occurs while equipment is in their possession. Damage resulting from misuse, negligence, or unauthorized modifications will be charged to the renter.
8. Insurance
Renters are encouraged to carry their own liability insurance. Tree Haven Rentals is not responsible for injuries or property damage resulting from equipment use.
9. Cancellation
Please contact us as early as possible to cancel or reschedule a reservation. Cancellation terms are specified in your rental agreement.
